Persian Plate

This is a small, cozy family run restaurant serving authentic Persian food. Food was freshly made and tasted good. Lamb chop was juicy. Best part was the French fries, really crispy. Space is quite small and seating is limited. Overall, this is a nice place in NW Calgary to try authentic Persian food.

Small restaurant with 5-6 four person tables in a shopping center in North Calgary. Fresh food off the grill with some season specialities like ASHE which is a noodle based soup. Great selection of kabobs fresh off the grill and a few other Persian favorites like fesenjan. Seems to be a popular take out spot but it's also def worth sitting in, listening to some Persian music and enjoying the experience. A little more decorations inside would have been nice, but the food is exceptional and makes up for any lack of interior design. I would definitely go back. If your in for something unique try the yogurt drink.

I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s truly one of the best Persian restaurants I’ve ever visited in Canada. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I absolutely loved my order — the Kabab Koobideh was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and you could really smell the BBQ aroma. I’m already counting down the days until my next visit!

A delicious experience from start to finish. Persian Plate instantly became one of my favourite spots! The koobideh and barg were juicy and flavourful, perfectly seasoned, the rice was fluffy and fragrant and the sides were so fresh. You can really feel the love and authenticity in their cooking. Portion sizes are amazing for the price, and the staff were kind, attentive, and welcoming. If you love Persian food, highly recommend, I will definitely be back!

It has small seating place but food was great, spice level as just awesome and i had the taste of the meat instead of spice and I liked it. Portions could be little more generous otherwise everything else was awesome.

We were a party of five (four adults and one kid), and everything was excellent from start to finish. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly—and the food was outstanding. We drove 1.5 hours just to satisfy a craving, and it was 100% worth it! The barg (that tender, flavorful grilled beef) was the star of the show—our kid couldn't get enough of it, and we all loved every bite. We'll definitely be going back again and fully recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Persian cuisine. Hidden gem alert! "

I had a great experience at Persian Plate! The kabobs were delicious — juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The rice was light and fragrant, and the salad was fresh and balanced the meal really well. You can really taste the quality and care in their food. Definitely one of the best Persian spots around!

The food and service here are amazing! I had my heart set on Persian food and this exceeded all expectations. Staff are so sweet. Good is so aromatic, beautifully plated, delicious and in great portions. I visited with my husband and daughter and we all had a very lovely time. Prices were extremely affordable and absolutely have the spot. Definitely and wonderful hidden gem.
